I am an American and live in the USA, was a Captain in the US Infantry and once met with and partied with a dozen or so Russian high ranking Military officers. We had a great time as it was after Detente, and everyone was relieved on all accounts. i simply don't understand why the writer would degrade the West in such a rediculous and untruthful manner.</p> <p>Russia and the USA are now Allies and it time to put a rest to the past fears of the 'Cold War', conflicts and lack of Friendship. I could counter almost every single nefgative comment but it would take an immense waste of time. Although, during WW II, Stalin was very extremely relieved for the help from the Western Allies.</p> <p>I've always admired the Russian People except for Communism and Stalin. The comments about the West were exaggerated very excessively and untruthful, concerning the negative, and grossly negated concerning the positive.
