Getting smarter every day

Due to some personal circumstances I came to celebrate Christmas this year last year pretty late. It was January, actually. Of course there were presents. Usually people by me stuff I need, not that I want. Not so this year, and I got a pretty good score in books. Other than you might expect from a history lover I’m not all that into reading, but right now I’ve got the following books lined up:

  1. Panzer Leader by Heinz Guderian
  2. The Dictators by Richard Overy
  3. The great war for civilization: the conquest of the middle east by Robert Fisk
  4. The 1916 battle of the Somme by Peter Liddle
  5. Europe and the people without history by Eric R. Wolf

So I’ve got plenty of work to do. At least it gives me an excuse when posting frequency drops. But I’m very excited about all this great literature and you can count and seeing some of these titles return here soon.
